Minimizing the Word by John Piper

Read John Piper’s thoughts on the minimization of the Bible in church and mission work today.

I don’t think Piper is wrong in this respect; I think there is a connection between seeker-driven pastors and the radical contextualization he mentions and the connection is that both minimize God’s Word and its power. Whether this is because the Word has simply been superseded by method or whether it signals a loss of faith in the power of the Word I do not know.
