What is the World to Me?

We at Zion are learning this old hymn on Wednesday evenings. Here is one verse that I have been meditating on recently. This is stanza two:

What is the World to Me?

The world is like a cloud
And like a vapor fleeting,
A shadow that declines
Swift to its end retreating.

My Jesus doth abide,
Tho’ all things fade and flee;
My everlasting Rock —
What is the world to me?

Hear the music and read the rest of the words over at Cyberhymnal here: What is the World to Me?
