Bumper Sticker Worldview Clash

Coming back from taking my son to school this morning I saw a minivan with a bumper sticker that went something like this:

Sure you can trust the government, just ask an Indian.

And I thought I had found a kindred spirit, someone who knew exactly where I am coming from; someone who could associate (and commiserate) with me in my political views, someone who shared my distrust of government, someone who leaned with me in the direction of small government and freedom of lives and markets.

Then I saw the bumper sticker on the other side:

“Obama ’08”

Can you say, “contradiction”?
