USA Today: Muslims find new Ramadan fast partners: Christians

Al Mohler’s take (toward the end of the article):

The logic of Islam is obedience and submission. It’s by following these practices that a Muslim demonstrates his obedience to the rule of the law through the Quran. For a Christian to do the same automatically implies a submission to the same rule. And beyond that, it’s an explicit affirmation that this is a good and holy thing. From a New Testament perspective, it is not a good and holy thing.

  1. I SO DESPISE THE WAY SOME PORTIONS OF CHRISTENDOM RESPOND TO MUSLIM CUSTOM.

  2. I think they're trying to be loving to the Muslims but I wonder if they aren't loving them all the way to hell. But then, if we listen to Brian MacLaren, it doesn't matter: He's gone on record saying that if a Muslim is devout there's no reason they can't go to heaven, too.

  3. BOTTOM LINE: I CAN'T FIND MUCH DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MACLAREN AND THE LIBERALS OF THE EARLY 20TH CENTURY.

  4. That's because there's not much difference except the lingo.
